Subject: RE: Chevy Avalanche

Marengo, Iowa
We have an '06, Victory Red LT with the black clad - part of the cladding is the bumper step - handy when loading in and out of the cargo area. My friend calls it the Tupperware vehicle. I had it lowered about 3-4" so I could get in and out of it easier. When you're 70 years old, with arthritic knees, you tend to look for comfort features rather than muscle. The lowering did effect the ride quality- rougher. We use it to pull our 24' travel trailer for summer getaways, and have pulled a 31' trailer with it when we go to the Iowa State Fair for 2 weeks. Yes, We do fold the back down to haul longer items. I am disappointed with the amount of dust that collects in the cargo area with the cover on and in the side boxes over the wheel wells. We have to drive 3-4 miles to get to a hard-surface road from our home. Yes, It was a shocker to license it in Iowa. They call it a SUV.
