Subject: wheel loader vs. MFWD tractor

We are trying to make up our minds about what we need to do. We have been looking at MFWD tractors in the 110 - 130 HP range. This tractor would take the place of an older 2 WD tractor that we have used for several years primarily as a loader tractor. We use it to feed cattle in the winter with a cake feeder on the back and to feed bales as well. We also use it during the summer to handle bales (mostly big squares 2 at a time) in the field loading or at the barn unloading trucks. On occasion we have used it to harrow bermuda and fescue pasture to break up manure piles and to mow road ditches and waterways. Also occasionally we end up using it or another tractor (same size and also 2 WD) with a loader to load manure from the lots or push up limbs from trimming hedges or whatever. We have recently started thinking about perhaps as much loader work as we do with it maybe we would be better off with a wheel loader that we can use for the loader work, manure, handling bales, feeding bales, etc. This would leave the other tractor for feeding with the cake feeder and mowing, raking, harrowing, etc. Does anyone have any thoughts about the pros or cons of a wheel loader vs. an MFWD tractor for this type of work? TIA
