Yorktown, TX
I've got a timberline too. Since it is a single acting shear, you can run it on smaller skidsteers. We use it on weesatche and mesquite in Texas and it cuts very well. The cycle time is more around what hagie man said, and it has plenty of power to cut anywhere on the blade. We only open it around as wide as the tree diameter we are cutting so the cycle time doesn't pose a problem. We just nose ours in the dirt to cut flush with the ground. I had about 40 acres of weesatche last year that was around 3 yr growth, we sheared it last winter and cut the coastal with a disc mower this past year and had no problems.
