| I am very happy there is new technology and new tractors made each day. Someone will buy them, use them, and someday they will be available to me, should the need for one come about.
I think the reason I like my 60s, 70s, and early 80s machinery is because I have some history with those vintages. I find I have that comfort feeling when I know what every gadget does and how it works. Being somewhat of a minimalist, I seem to prefer to only have options that I want to use on the machine.
I prefer not to let my comfort feeling or wants to get in the way of profits though. So if a newer machine can make more money for my needs, it gets bought. If not, which is the case more often than not, I can continue to run those old machines and implements that I feel comfortable with. |
