If your kids are early risers, get around good time in the morning, wear them out awhile , then consider going back mid afternoon for small break and maybe eat. Then go back and spend late afternoon and into evening. Gotta see the fireworks one night. Will be lots easier on all of you to break it up. There's lots to see but it's not much fun when the kids are out of sorts. (then mommy gets out of sorts too) grin
