I think that the representation in NCBA is far more tilted to the producer side than it is to the packer side. I do happen to agree, I think it is a terrible idea to have Congress making any laws restricting marketing agreements. Both parties enter into them willingly, I can't see a bunch of politicians stepping in and trying to fix a problem that isn't there. Looking at the meddling they have done on the grain side and the way it has affected production I don't want a bunch of people who know nothing about agriculture or marketing making laws telling us what we can and can't do.
