Here this past fall , guys had trouble getting soybeans to feed on the draper heads. We were extremely dry and beans got light or something and people had problems. Know one farmer who returned a brand new draper head for an auger. RED and GREEN both had issues. Made me scratch my head when I look at the cost comparison. Guys who were running auger heads had less down time this year in my area. Just what I observed.
