EC WI
I repaired a hole in my plastic John Deere fuel tank over a year ago. After doing much research on what would be the best and most economical repair, I decided to use a 3M product (DP 8005). I used fiberglass mat and DP-8005 to patch the outside of the tank after cleaning it thoroughly.

It has held up perfectly with no leaks. I purchased it from McMaster-Carr.

Here is a link to the product.
