EC North Dakota | I own a Concord seeding tool with hydralic drive fan. Have neighbor who has diesel engine on his. My thoughts on the engine drive are that it is a good option in that it allows you to use an older tractor for seeding, easier to switch between tractors since hydralic flow is not influnced by which tractor you are using. Neighbor does not appear to have too many engine related problems with theirs.
My opinion on the cons to the diesel engine are that it is another engine to maintain, parts for the engine are not always stocked by the dealers as there are not a lot of them around.
Either option is a good choice just depends on what you want to do and as with any equipment choice dealer support is another big factor. | |
