nw NC | You got it right. The small vertical stick ( the trigger ) near the far end has a notch cut out in its side . The notch hooks onto the underside of the board where the stick fits through the hole in the top board of the trap. The trigger stick reaches a distance into the trap . Slight movement of the trigger stick moves it enough that notch releases its hold on top board. Weight of trap door pulls trigger stick up through hole- trap door goes down. Rabbit is now trapped.
