Rudolph, WI | Praying for your brother and family. I lost my 36 year old brother just 2 weeks ago, 21 months after his brain tumor surgery. I know what you are going through and how helpless you likely feel not knowing what is going to happen next and when. It really sucks. My brother had an extremely large tumor on the right side of the brain, but came through surgery quite well also. However, testing showed to be a glioblastoma (same as Ted Kennedy had) and the doc told him he had up to 12-18 months if he had aggressive radiation and chemotherpy and the chances of a 5 year survival was less than 1 percent (adding that a 1 percent chance was not even realistic in his case). He was in a nursing home the last 6 months and passed away on Dec. 5. He never gave up hope and was determined to beat it.
