High Springs, Florida | My father took my brother and I up there to see that. We took a bunch of black and white photos of the falls with a Polaroid camera. When my father passed away, I looked in vain for those pictures, don't know what happened to them.
I remember going across the bridge to Goat Island and seeing the coffer dam that blocked the flow. They were driving dump trucks across it hauling more of the gravel that the dam was made of. I was kind of surprised that it was just a gravel dam holding all that water back! | |
