I wish those were my pistachios. A good crop can produce about 5500 lbs/acre at $2.50/lb. They take about 7 years to cover yearly operating expenses. That might break me if I planted very many. If I remember right, that was two tons/acre. That is measured on the gross acreage, even though the "band" is about 3 to four ft wide.
