I am going to go with the guess that this is a training video.
I'm not convinced that it isn't an authentic accident caught on video. But I'd certainly bet that it has been shown at training sessions. Fire Dept is applying water in 1:10 seconds after they arrive on scene, not much wasted motion. Would seem about right for a 'real' life scenario rolling up on a AA spill scene with prior notification of spill while enroute. The same video is on youtube and in the comments it states that the officer died. Of course, can't always believe everything that is written. Just 'seems' a little too real (note in video explaining why the officer's shirt mounted microphone was cutting out -- other notes explaining officer had no knowledge of AA but fire and EMS did -- officer descibed 'smoke' when he rolled up on scene) to be a training video -- but shown in training sessions, definitely. I'd think somewhere there would be something in the video stating that it was a staged training video, since they went to the trouble of noting everything else. |
