ECIL | One good thing about it is, depending on your kid's ages, they can go to the grandparents house whenever you aren't around or need to get something done with minimal sidetracks. Otherwise, respect their space and hopefully they will respect yours. If they don't then have a conversation with them about privacy and interference. As they age they may need some assistance from your family. At least if they are across the street it will be easy to get to them. Make sure they cannot count on you for every little piddly thing unless it really is something they need help with. | |
