| I have a Delta 12". If I have a log or two sawed for cabinet or trim lumber, I find a mill shop that will plane it for me. Those little planers are just to slow when you got a pile of rough cut lumber to plane. I just have them leave it a smidge thick and make the final pass with my own planer. I keep looking on craigslist to find me a big cheap planer. I think most of the new planers now lock the head to cut down on snipe. | |
