Nope, not darn near the same.
Thieves I understand. They are wrong, but they are trying to gain something, and I at least understand the what & why. I could hope they are down on their luck or some such, and would revert to good people if given a chance. If not, at least I see the point of what they did, to gain something.
Vandals are always bigger scumbags to me. They take away from others, for no point, no gain to themselves, no back-against-the-wall issues, just mean-ness I guess? I don't understand them, and so view them with much more distain. Can't ever trust someone who does things for no reason but mean-ness.
Maybe just me. :)
