Southern Ab | You gotta line up some money. Lots of it. Nobodys going to "work you in" with the intent of giving you a jumpstart . You will be a part of someones operation as long as you bring more than you cost and when that changes you are gone. And by that time you have wasted your productive years. Canada has programs for beginning farmers and I would assume the US does also. Attracting the next generation of people is the biggest problem facing the ag industry and our respective govts realize this. Do some research. Make some noise. And when you finally get your name on some land be prepared to do absolutely anything to keep it. | |
