I certainly don't doubt that they could try to do some kind of comparing, but it still comes back to accuracy. They, or any company that comes out to collect data, cannot ensure that you calibrated correctly (or at all), entered the right varieties or anything like that. Trying to use that data would be horribly flawed and you could never trust the data to be accurate.
