After informal polling of friends and neighbors I went against the advice of some of them and got progressive bifocals for my first ever pair of bifocal glasses.
I get along fine with them, but a guy my age (48) who had never worn prescription glasses before at all and got progressive bifocals couldn't stand them. He took them back and got conventional bifocals and likes them OK.
Need help shopping for glasses
