Subject: CIH 950 planter

Bourbon, Indiana
I'm looking at buying a newer planter and ran across a real sharp 950 12rn. not real sure of the year but are the parts pretty much interchangable with a 800 series? The 955 doesn't have insecticide boxes so I figured I'd just take them off my 800 and put on the 955, from the looks it appears that it would work. What were some of the updates they did on these series? I realize the closing discs are now staggered instead of parallel, and I also noticed that the drums (corn) dimmples were different that what I have. Do these improve the spacing somewhat? Were there many changes from the 950 to the 955? 'anything else I should look out for?

Sorry for so many questions but inabout 2 weeks we're gonna be planting dowhere so I need to get stuff done fast.

thanx
