Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
The above information is correct concerning the data cards. As to your questions about the sensors being the same, the answer is Yes, The wiring for a combine is the same and one can be swapped for the other without any changes.

The PF3000 has the ability to do onscreen mapping where the YM2000 does not. The screen on a YM2000 is text only. The screen on a PF3000 is a graphic type so text and/or graphics can be shown. Since the screen is not color the maps on a PF3000 cannot be in color. The onscreen map is just a coverage map and doesn't show the yield variations onscreen. Like a YM2000, those types of maps are made with appropriate software on a PC.

Besides the operating modes listed above, there is an Application mode on the PF3000 which can be used to work with third party controllers such as a Raven 440 and many others. We sold many PF3000's that were used this way.

In this setup, the PF3000 works with the controller and exchanges information via a serial cable. The controller reports to the PF3000 what it is doing so the PF3000 can make an onscreen coverage map and log various totals etc. The PF3000 can send over an Rx rate so that variable rate application can be accomplished.

This combination works well and is really quite handy in a spray situation. The cost to get into this is quite minimual as only a couple of fairly simple cables are needed.

As far as the combine deal, if the two combines are equal, the one with the PF3000 should be worth a bit more.
