NC KS | I agree with you Oliver. I have Briggs the same age roughly. It starts on the second pull every time. I pull the choke off almost immediately and it runs good. I give it an oil change every year and this year I blessed it with a new sparkplug. It is very tempting right now to pick up its replacement. Local Orscheln's has a 5.5 Honda look alike with a pump under the Simer brand for $199. Never have seen a 5 hp that cheap. If I buy the thing, my Briggs will run another 4 years without a hitch but if I don't buy it, the Briggs will probably give it up about a day after the sale goes off adn in the middle of the best spraying weather.
