What type of duster? A feather duster simply displaces the dust, which is fine if it displaces it to the floor for picking up with the vac. The static rags, hold the dust and are washed in the washing machine with the overalls. Lamp shades remove easily and can be lowered to the floor for dusting with the feather duster. Tables can be wiped with the cloth. Either way, I like to use the brush attachment on the vac for as much dusting as I can.

If you have a house heating system that has a filtration system on it, I find that using a finer micron filter helps to capture a lot more of the dust once airborn. I see that now they have powered filters that you can set in a room and as activity takes place in the house and dust gets disturbed, these filters will capture a lot of it.

Mom allways kept a clean and tidy house. I never apreciated it at the time. But that was a lot of work.
