Germany | I can not see any need for this. Cold starting a diesel is hard on the battery and the bearings as well.
Everything should be in a dry place and the engine oil should not be too old. Fully charged batteries will not freeze at any reasonable temperature. Also, partly discharged batteries will take a damage from this fact alone when standing over a longer period of time, so a trickle charger and unhooking the ground are good ideas. | |
