Michigan | Well holloween is here and gone,in three weeks it will be thanksgiving etc. My how things are a changing.Kids came home from trickortreating and acted like it was no big deal,and I thought how pathetic weve become(when I was growing up I had a brother who could make his candy last till the following holloween,yes he is still a tightwad LOL) now we have a draw full of candy in the house all the time.last weekend we were in church and the place was empty yet we took a drive in the afternoon to the Casino and the place was packed.thanksgiving will come and the amount of food prepared at our house will surely feed ten households.the thought of Christmas,and the amount of money wasted makes me nauseous.the person to blame is the one in the mirror,yet we(I) continue to go with the flow.sorry for the rambling its just on my mind.Am I the only one? | |
