USA | I would talk to the land owner and explain situation to him. Sounds like a fairly simple problem to fix and one that wouldn't be a budget breaker to the ones farming the ground. If I was land owner and found out my tenant wasn't taking care of things or hadn't informed me of a problem that needed to be fixed, would terminate them as soon as possible. Maybe eliminate your problem in the future, if he decides current tenants are not treating his ground in a favorable manner.
