Driftless SW Wisconsin

I am not disputing your claim for clutches.

However from my experience when starting from zero with autosteer and gps/rtk(hopefully) it is much easier to go in steps rather than all at once.

Get the gps/autosteer installed and working, get your rows straight and where you want them, learn how to handle an A-B line (set on the compass not on a fenceline!) get familiar with mapping and moving from the tractor to the combine, THEN add additional features such as shutoffs, variable rate population and fertilizer etc.

Folks that try to do it all in one massive change just ahead of planting almost always have a near disaster.

I can't tell you how many hours I have spent waiting to go in the spring while there are two guys in the tractor cab hastily rebooting a computer because a couple components won't talk to each other....

It is best, in my opinion, to get into electronics in ag slowly, beginning with the autosteer and rtk then mapping. jmho.
