Chesley, Ontario | Those photos were first circulating a couple of years ago. Story was that the moose was standing straight on to the car, so went straight down the middle. Woman driving the car got a broken arm, but no other injuries.
Apparently moose are extremely hard to see because their eyes don't reflect back the headlights the same way as a deer or a cow. Then, to top it off, their legs are long and spindly enough that their bodies go straight over the hood of the car and hit the windshield full force. Bad news anytime you are driving in moose country after dark! | |
