Subject: RE: field fire

central - east central Minnesota -

dub - 10/16/2010 20:19 we had a corn field that got burnt, corn was all combined and all, had some ripped, will the beans be hurt next year? wanting to hear some opinions? did we lose our fertilizer? we got it stopped with a disk neighbor was burning something and it got away. allen

There have been past discussions reguarding field fires and what impact it could have on next yrs' crop . . . . most of the responds felt that a fire could give better yeilds the next yr . .. .  you can do a search and read those past opinions/thoughts.

I'm willing to bet, there will be no issues with lost fertility or yeilds for the following yrs.
