That's in the range. Lots of inventory. Since the great grass market crash, everyone needed something to grow. Guess that meant clover. Crimson is not doing very well either, but harry vetch is over a dollar and the demand is quite high. I had a bear of a time just finding harry vetch seed to grow. Seller made me agree to give him first shot at the sale when harvested. Red clover yields in the willamette valley oregon this season were quite weather related. I'm in the north end of the valley and yields were down a lot. Some next to the west hills were under 200lbs/acre, mine was near 400lbs/acre before cleaning. I heard 2 or 3 reports from the south valley that some were getting 700lbs/acre and a very few in sheltered areas were getting near 900lbs/acre. But I can not confirm that. Perhaps some of the south valley members will be able to confirm or deny those reports. |
