Unplug the wires, screw the wire swivel thing out of the end of the shaft. Take the big nut off the end, then pop the half moon key out that locates the outer clutch half. Slide the outer half of the clutch off and inspect it. When newer they have more shims between the halves. Mine looks pretty grooved but still works fine, as long as they can move close enough together.
