| There is a reason why the elevator is picky on no corn in nongmo beans. Most non gmo beans are sold as food grade beans in foreign countries. And yes those buyers are picky about there beans, they don't want corn in there tofu.
Your elevator is just a collection point, those beans all go to an end user somewhere all around the world. I have seen the standards the Koreans use for buying beans, they are very strict as far as foreign material, protein and moisture.
I am not trying to stick up for your elevator, there is a reason for what they are doing.
