Subject: Re: Planting conditions in Southern Illinois and Indiana

There was some corn planted about 20 miles south of us Tuesday on sand ground. Friend started putting on AA on sand ground near here today but heard it was still pretty wet. Was out doing some tile repair & backhoe work today & the black ground is at least a week away from being able to work. Suppose to be cold & wet next week so I doubt if any field work gets done on the heavy soils in this area unless one of the BTO decide to play in the mud.
