South Texas | Custom picking was 11-12 cents this year down here, that's per lint lb. There are some gins that charge hauling, but not many around here. They're usually pretty good at getting the modules picked up quickly. Most will be hauled within 24 hours of being built, and stacked on the gin yard. Depending on how early or late you harvest compared to your neighbors, turnaround at the gin can be anywhere from 1-4 weeks. | |
