I am not a fan of adapters. I have seen where adapters will break off the pto shaft on tractor. I bought an MX240 that has the larger PTO shaft. I had a front half of a PTO built for our auger cart. If I stuck another tractor on it that has the small PTO shaft, all I have to do is pull out the front half of the PTO and install the other half.
