Bloomfield, KY. | Not true, Mr. Hagen.
Locally, at the time of the IH "disappearance", local Case dealership was owned by 2 guys in their 50's who had 20-something sons already heavily involved in the business. IH dealership was run by a couple of brothers in their 70's, with the next generation mostly doing time for drugs. Guess who got the new CIH dealership? The old farts did. It lasted about 5 years. Former Case dealership, now owned by the sons, is a thriving NH dealership. Thanks to Case bending over backwards to not piss off the IH diehards, I now have to drive over 30 miles to the nearest CIH dealer.
For the record, I have a CIH combine, and I know it is a direct descendant of the IH machines. But I am getting a little tired of the IH fans whining about Case. If it hadn't been for Case, IH would be a part of AGCO. Good luck with that.
You IH blowhards need to read "A Corporate Tragedy." That company had been a joke for a long time before it failed.
