Mushrooms are a fungus, so maybe fungicide would work.
A common mushroom in yards which was mentioned earlier is "fairy ring". Here is some info on them and some cures. They are tough to get rid of with any method. http://plantclinic.cornell.edu/FactSheets/fairyring/fairyring.htm
