Northwest OH | Yesterday went out to start the combine, tire was flat. Stubble damage. Went out this morning after getting the other tire home to put back on machine and the other tire was flat. All rear steer tires (11.00-16) So I decided to take them in to town and just get two new ones put on. The old Firestone tires are no older than four years old and soybean stubble ate the hell out of them. Got American Farmer tires to put back on it. They look to be built well. Hope they last! Then just for fun go to looking at the front tires of the machine, no ate up to bad but there is stubble shoved all the way through the bars. This is only the second season with those Firestone 28L-26 tires. Sorry for the long winded post just needed to rant on how crappy farm tires are getting. Hell the old ones last 15+ years! These are on a CIH 1640. | |
