Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I've worked a couple of different partnership arrangements. We both owned seperate equipment and paid each other custom rate. I would advise to not own equipment together at least at first to see how you get along. Makes the exit strategy easier.
We made it work by looking at the whole farm and planting and harvesting in the most efficient order and do all of one persons before the other. There is some sharing involved but as long as each share equally you can get along. |
