Subject: Pros and Cons of floater tires on big grain carts.

South-central Nebraska
I see a lot of the larger 1000 bu and bigger carts are offerning the 76/50 x 32 floater tires as an option. Other than lower compaction psi, what are the pros and cons? I would assume they get more stubble damage in 30 inch row crops. I would also assume they are cheaper than a walking tandem set up. How do they ride loaded and empty in and out of the field? Are the load ratings in line with 1000+ bushels of weight? Any issues with smashed corn stalks from the floater tires?

I would look at 30.5 tires on smaller carts, but it looks like most tires get wider on the next size bigger cart. Still weighing options if I trade carts.
