Whatever you get,(I prefer a big rope) get hi quality clevis' and make sure they exceed the rating of the rope. When the rope streches and you set the brakes on the puller, if the clevis or pin fails, its coming through the back window to get you. Err on the heavy side when you buy this stuff.
If you use the chain, pull it tight, then ease the clutch out.
