Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | I just installed two more Edwards Grain guard fans to my bins and noticed again, the Baldor 5 hp motors have grease fittings.
I wondered, How often should I grease them, how much, what type of grease ??
I checked the Grain Guard manual that came with the fans, It makes no mention of lubricating the motor bearings.
I got on that most usefull of tools, the Computer and internet. I found a maintenence and lubrication guide for Baldor motors that answers all my questions. My little 5 hp motors need 2.5 pumps of grease per bearing, every 5500 hrs.
