Subject: Setting hyd. deck plates - Calmers

Northeast Nebraska
Calmers directions say to put the manual deck plate 11/16" off center, with an 1/8" wider gap at the back.

Is there an easy way of finding the center with rolls on and everything else? I should not have put the hyd. plate on first, then i could measure between the row units "base" Now that everything is on its hard to get a tape measure in there, and i dont really feel like taking the hyd plate back off. I want to be precise with my measurements.

The hyd. plates are all the way closed, combine hasn't arrived yet to adjust them back. All we have is the head. 893

Tips are appreciated. Thanks

Edit: Also, calmers provides washers to shim the drive sproket up ON THE 40 SERIES HEADS. They say you can use the snap rings though on the 90 series. Seems to me the snapring on bottom is too low. Can I use the washers on the 90 series head?
