It appears that the grain did not fill properly with all the heat, the kernels are lighter colored and the caps are softer and wrinkled. It amounts to about a 2# drop in test weight here in the garden spot of WCIN. Thus early yields are coming in 10-20 bu less than early yield checks. Still good but not better than last year.
