inmho, the corn in nw iowa is collapsing toward the finish line. anthracnose and gosses wilt taking the top off a lot of fields. simply this crop is not finishing normally, it is just dying. i know my friend across the fence will disagree but upper 80s and alot of hot south wind are taking its toll. in early july i think they thought their monitors (i dont have one) would bump 300. now i think 250 will be the best and those moments might be brief. maybe some nw iowa silage guys will chime in and prove me wrong. its ok just my thoughts .d7
