America | One of St. Louis stations said as of last night the avg. summer temps were the warmest ever recorded. They said if the end of the month is as forecast it may slip a couple of spots but I was shocked. Can't believe we were warmer on avg. than some of the years in the 30's and 50's. If we can produce a record corn crop with such heat I'll be surprised. However, I do know that things were much less extreme to the north. Am hearing some of the early yields are disappointing, still good, but no up to expectations. | |
