IL | I got prices on which way to to on the combine shafts.
OEM RT shaft (58") - $219
Top feeder shaft (68") - $240
stock hex shaft c1018 - $9/ ft
1215 - $13/ ft
4140 - $18/ ft
I will have the shop drill the hole in each end of the shafts, so I don't have to fight the hardness.
All said and done, buying the most expensive stock shaft would still have me under half price of OEM.
I am sending the old ones in to have them hardness checked so as to know what to order. They have the 1018. 3 day turn on the 1215, and a week on the 4140 | |
