I've had a 25gal Fimco for 5 years and it's still has all the original components. The only times I've had issues is when leaving solution in the tank for more than a couple of weeks. Make sure the pick-up screen is completely clean. I rinse the tank twice and then on the third rinse, run it out through the nozzles. This gets most of the residual out of the system.
