I fought our 276 baler for a couple years. It would tie 10 perfect, then start to throw opens. Did everything, then went to 170 plastic twine. I've had 2 opens out of 700 bales this year, and both occurred when the knots got caught when switching twine balls. We've baled alfalfa and oats straw. Can't explain it, but it works, and I'm not alone with this experience.
